Catedral Metropolitana de Quito

La Catedral Metropolitana de Quito is considerated one of the oldest in Latin America and a major symbol to catholics in Quito. It is located in the center of the Historical Center of Quito, exactly between the streets Venezuela and García Moreno, diagonal to el Palacio de Carondelet. This cathedral not only shows the daily live of Quito, but the political, religious and artistic life of many generations. Volcán Pichincha

  

    

Volcán Pichincha is a great place to visit. It is located at 12 km West of Quito, in the Western Cordillera of the Ecuadorian Andes. This volcanoe consists of a dome in it's top and it's composed mostly of dasitic rocks. In the East of this volcanoe there are other volcanoes as Toaza, Guagua Basal and Rucu.

Parque la Carolina

If you like to do sports and have fun with your family this is the place you should visit. Here you can not only play soccer and jog in the mornings, but practice athletics, basketball, tennis and volley. It is one of the most important green places in Quito and  a place to relax  because of how here you can make picnics, ride bicycle, do boating on the lagoon and eat cotton candy. If you are interested on bicicross and skateboarding you should come here!

El Telefériqo

El Telefériqo is a wonderful place to visit if you want to live an adventure. It is located at the altitude between  the North and center of Quito. In it´s base there is an amusement park called the Vulqano Park. You don´t have to pay to enter it but the games are paid by a  rechargeable card, there are games as a roller coaster.

El Panecillo

El Panecillo is a hill in the center of Colonial Quito and in it´s position you can see a unique view of the city. This figure has an altitude of 45 meters and for Quito it is the division between North and South of the city. The figure represented in this place is Quito´s Virgin that is in the principal altar of the San Francisco Church in Quito.
